My name is Liza Valon Kleijberg born in the Netherlands currently based in Barcelona. Some of my favourite things in life are good quality coffee, the sea, yoga, travel, barbell lifting, meditation, pranayama, family and friends, writing, taking pictures of people, sunsets and a good book!

I connect all of these favs through my work as a designer and yoga teacher. Both give me all the room to be endlessly creative, connect with amazing people and keep learning.

My yoga practice started in a time that I had to deal with a tragic process of loss when my mom was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer. My practice helped (and still helps) me to calm my mind and be aware and mindful in an extremely difficult time.

I started exploring the yoga world; a lot of yoga styles in a lot of different beautiful places in the world (Holland, Thailand, Bali, Australia, Spain, United States). Around the same time I started with crossfit. After 2 years I focused my training on weightlifting and later on powerlifting.
Yoga and barbell training have a lot in common and they compliment each other in a great way. They both require focus, strength in the mind and the body and afterwards I feel calm and present.

Wherever I am in the world I need to create a routine where I can combine these two great passions, to feel at my best.

I realised I wanted to have a better understanding and more knowledge about the yoga world and philosophy. Therefor I decided to traveled to Rishikesh, India the yoga capital of the world  to deepen my yoga practice. It was a magical time with a lot of challenges both mentally and physically. I had amazing teachers who taught me all about the philosophy of yoga, anatomy (one of my favorite topics), body alignment, ayurveda etc.

I successfully completed the Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher training (RYT 200hrs) with yogi Yashpal Rauotela. Now sharing the knowledge with the world.

Another great passion of mine is brand design. A brand or a person has a story to tell. I’m passionate about all the ways that a story can be put out there. The first thing we might think about is creating brand designs with a logo, typography and colors. But telling a story is much more than that. It comes with emotions and sharing experiences.
How to create the best experience fitting to a story is a fun challenge. Through the use of colors, typography, photography, text and white spaces to share a story and reach the right people, that’s what gets me excited.
